My den at Christmastime!
Friday night I went to dinner and Christmas shopping with my friend Anna. I absolutely love going into bookstores when it's cold out and while we were there a lady was reading The Night before Christmas. I was really tempted to sit down and listen! Saturday I went to eat lunch with past and present work friends because Christina was in town visiting for the first time since she moved. I am really blessed to have a great group of people to work with, I don't think I would be able to get through it without them!
My mom came to visit Saturday afternoon and we spent the rest of the day getting my house ready for my 2nd annual Christmas party this weekend. I was originally going to use my artificial tree from last year but it looked like a shrub in my new house so we headed to Lowe's to get a real one. This is my first real tree to put up at my own house, I feel like such a grown-up! I definitely appreciate things more when I have to do them myself. I'm just hoping that it can last a week until my party, I tend to kill all living plants! Sunday Bella and I attempted to take our Christmas picture, but Bella hated her outfit and would not look at the camera in protest. Below is the best one that we have so far, so unless I attempt round 2 this will be our official Christmas picture! We also went to Pottery Barn Sunday night and learned all the elegant ways to decorate your house for the holidays. I could live in Pottery Barn if they would let me!
I know it is getting closer to the middle of the week but I wanted to get my weekend recap out before my MHM ( I am behind)! This past weekend was very busy but alot of fun. Friday my office participated in Nationwide KPMG Bear Hug where we "built" bears to give to the children at Children's hospital. The little bears are so cute and you even put their little heart inside before you stitch them up! Below is a picture of my work buddies Amanda, Maggie, and Rachel and two bears before they got all dressed up!
