Chi Town

I'm back with a recap of my recent vacation to Chicago with my bestie Jillian for her 26th birthday! We had such a good time, Chicago is definitely one of my favorites places to go now! I'll now present my pictorial...

Here's Jilly and I right after we got to Chicago. We were so excited to be there, we ended up walking almost 5 miles that afternoon! Needless to say we were sore and took a taxi the rest of the week!

Here's another pic of us by the river. It was such a pretty day!

Here we are at the bean/cloud. Do you spy Chicken?

(You'll thank me one day for encouraging you to take this sweeping shot Jilly) :)

The night we got there we went to dinner at this amazing sushi place called Sunda. It was so good and we even had a celeb sighting...anybody remember Travis Barker from Blink 182 (or the show he had with his wife on MTV)? Then we went and danced the night away and made some new friends!

Friday was opening day at Wrigley Field, it was amazing! It was misting outside but thankfully our seats were covered. And Robert Redford threw the opening pitch! As Jilly so lovingly pointed out, I am a 50 year old woman trapped in a 20 something's body!

Saturday was the big birthday and we did it up big! We started with a champagne brunch at a restaurant called Hub 51, then went to get a yummy cupcake at Crumbs bakeshop!

Saturday afternoon we went shopping on the Magnificent Mile and that was a workout in itself! That night we had reservations at the Signature room on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Observatory. It had an amazing view! And of course dinner was followed up with dancing, a favorite pastime between my group of friends!

I will say that this was by far one of my favorite vacations of all time. I am blessed to have a bestie like Jilly and to get the opportunity to travel. I heart Chicago!!!
