My 5 Fall Favorites

The fall season to me is synonymous with tradition. And as the weather outside is getting colder, I wanted to share a few of my favorite traditions!

1). - Fall decorations - Since I have lived on my own, I seemed to have acquired more and more cheesy decorations for all sorts of holidays. Next to Christmas, fall is my most festive time of year. I have glass pumpkins and cornucopias, mums and maize corn, it's borderline over the top!

2). Hocus Pocus - I remember my brother taking me to see this movie when I was 8. I have never been a fan of scary movies, and this one is anything but scary! It's got just enough Halloween staples to get me in the holiday spirit! As such, i try to watch it every year and usually get to thanks to ABC family. And it wasn't until recently I realized that Sarah Jessica Parker was the ditzy witch!

3).Candy Corn - No surprise there's a sweet on the list, I believe I have a candy for every holiday! My friend Katie and I would get a bag of candy corn every year in college on the first day it came out, and eat many many more until it was taken off the shelves! Now we try to send each other this delicious candy as a happy every year, and as a reminder of how much i treasure our friendship!

Here's Katie and I the day she got married, and now she's expecting a baby!

4). Pumpkin Spice Latte - My besties Gracie and Jilly introduced me to this coffee from Starbucks a few years ago, and it's by far my favorite! I just got into drinking coffee when I started working and i hate to say I'm becoming a coffaholic.

5). College Football - With the cool air comes my favorite sport to watch, college football. Having graduated from an SEC school (which is undoubtedly the best conference in the nation), I enjoy getting into the rivalry with my friends who went to other schools, especially now that I live in Alabama. And even though my favorite team isn't doing so hot this year, I still stand by them, and even got to attend a game in September. I am very blessed to have gotten the opportunity to graduate from Ole Miss, and will forever be grateful for the friendships i made there! And Hotty Toddy!

Here's a picture of my sorority house, where I lived senior year of college with my bestie MG!

Happy Fall everyone! I hope you partake in some of your favorite traditions and enjoy every minute of it!

  1. Awww, this post made me miss you so much! The candy corn one reminded me of how you would faithfully offer me candy corn every day when we lived together, and acted crushed every time I said I didn't want any. Haha!

    Love you, smoot!

  2. O my goodness Gracie I had forgotten about that! However, I still get offended when people don't take my treats at work! It never ends! :)
