Pommes de Terre Frites

I am very excited to share with you the recipe for F, because not only is it one of my favorite foods, it also has a special meaning to me.

In case you don't speak French, the food I chose to blog about is french fries. And not just the standard french fries you get with the spicy chicken combo at Wendy's (although those are really good). These are homemade french fries that my grandma makes.

My sweet grandma has always been there for me, from the time I was little, through my teenage years when my parents got on my nerves and I needed somebody to talk to, to when I was in college and I needed a little extra spending money! :) Here is a picture of my grandma holding little Bella!

French Fries

1 cup of canola oil
4 potatoes

First, wash and slice the potatoes. A tip that makes these potatoes SO good is that you leave the skin on, DON'T peel them! Next, put your canola oil in a medium pot and bring to a boil. Place the potatoes in the pot and boil until golden brown!

And today is actually my grandma's ___th birthday (she's been 50 since I was little)! Happy birthday grandma, I love you very much!
